The Japanese style of Shotokan Karate is the most popular in the world. Since 1976, Asian Martial Arts Center has taught this well known style and produced many proficent students. The art is dynamic and beautiful to watch.
Our children's program for ages 6 to 11, offers a positive and well structured social enviroment. Through training in Karate, the student learns improved mental focus, attention, and concentration which prove very useful in other areas of life.
The practice of kata is essential to the study of Karate. On a basic level, they improve speed, strength, and balance. On an advance level, combat effectiveness is improved by an analysis and application of the techniques contained within the kata.
